Accounting Mentorship Program

As part of the Accounting Mentorship Program (AMP), you will develop important professional relationships with FORVIS (previously Dixon Hughes Goodman) associates, with the UNC Master of Accounting (MAC) Program admissions team, and with fellow mentees and AMP alumni. You will also participate in professional development programming centered on career exploration, building a personal brand and inclusive leadership.

AMP is a remarkable opportunity for rising second and third-year students from any non-UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduate institution. Receive 1:1 personal mentorship that provides insights into the accounting profession and preparation for a successful career in business. Delivered by FORVIS and the UNC MAC team, the AMP experience aims to build your industry knowledge while helping you develop personal and professional skills that will prepare you for graduate school and the business world. Learn more about the enhanced benefits coming to the AMP program in 2023.

Beginning in 2023, students selected for AMP through the application and interview process will be provided with the following benefits:

  • Automatic admission into the UNC Kenan-Flagler MAC online or on-campus program upon successful completion of AMP
  • Priority fellowship consideration for the Kenan-Flagler MAC program
  • A separate Summer 2023 interview window for internships at FORVIS for Winter 2024 or Summer 2024

At the close of the AMP, mentees also will receive a professional development stipend established to support with professional development, academic or graduate school prep related needs.
